I stumbled upon Craft Gossip this weekend and was amazed by the amount of content I found. From tatting to knitting, needlepoint to cross-stitch… it’s all there with free patterns along the way. Here’s a sampling of the FREE Fall and Halloween patterns.

Two thousand eight was the year of the homemade holiday gifts from me! Every year I try my hardest to make sure each person I am giving a gift to is getting at least one thing that I’ve handcrafted in some way. May it be cookies, letterpressed stationery or a knitted hat, I love giving thoughtful gifts from the heart (and sometimes full of blood, sweat and tears… well not really the blood)!
This cute little scarf was recently featured in Martha Stewart living and I couldn’t resist whipping one up for my mom! The pattern is after the jump (click here for a pdf version).
It look about 3 hours and is a good second project. So, if you’ve perfected the basic scarf, this is a great next step. You’ll learn to increase and decrease and how to put stitches onto two needles. If you need help, Ravelry is a great source for all things knitting and crocheting – including great free patterns!
