Ok, I’ll admit it. Before I had six bridal showers, I didn’t have a rolling pin. When it came time to roll out anything, I pulled out this long skinny bottle that was all that remained from a great dessert wine. And it worked great!
Here’s the trick though – to prevent it from getting oh so sticky, I would put in in the fridge, wrapped in a dish towel when I put the dough in to chill, that way, when it was time to roll out the dough, it was cold and helped to prevent the butter from melting into the flour.
