Tip of the Day: Quicker Steel Cut Oatmeal

tin4.jpgSteel Cut Oatmeal is one of my favorites… Full of nutrients and quite tasty, McCann’s Irish Steel Cut Oatmeal is a great go-get-’em way to start your day.  The only drawback is that they take 40 minutes on the stove…  but wait no more!  Simply cook up a large batch on Saturday morning when you have the extra time, then portion out one serving size into individual tupperware.  Weekday mornings become easy as all you have to do is throw it in the microwave for 1 minute, then stir, then microwave 1 more minute.

Drizzle with maple syrup or sprinkle on a little brown sugar for a delicious, nutritious breakfast!

I read somewhere that you can also cook this on a slow cooker. Do it before bedtime and it’s ready in the morning.
