Curing Those New Year’s Day Hangovers

23037508.jpgNot much is better than a good old-fashioned bloody mary to cure that not so friendly headache welcoming you to January 1, 2008 (well maybe a few Tylenol Extra-Strength Rapid Release and a little Gatorade, but who wants to go that route). Here’s my favorite recipe which yields a nice and spicy version!

Bloody Mary
serves 8

12 oz vodka
24 oz tomato juice
1 tbsp lemon juice
4 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp horseradish
1 tbsp Tabasco sauce
1 tsp pepper
8 lime wedges
8 celery stalks

Mix first seven ingredients in a large pitcher with several ice cubes. Stir vigorously. Remove ice and pour into rocks glasses. Garnish with lime wedges and celery and drink those New Year’s Day blues right away!
