Latkes for Hanukkah

latkes.jpgThought I am not Jewish, with today as the first day of Hanukkah, I couldn’t think of a traditional food more delicious and appropriate than latkes. A couple of weeks ago, I posted a little “how to” on making these delectable potato treats and today I spent some time researching why latkes are so important in the Jewish religion.
