Tip of the Day: Flavored Ice Cubes

Add a hint of sweetness or spice to soda water or sprite by throwing in a couple of homemade flavored ice cubes.

Just make a simple syrup (1 cup water, 1 cup sugar – cook over heat until all sugar disolves) with your favorite flavors. (I like to include ginger and lime or lemon verbena and blackberries.) Then pour into ice cube trays and freeze until ready to use.
