A Bad Day for Tom Colicchio

The 2008 Michelin ratings for restaurants in New York City came out today and Tom Colicchio’s Craft has lost it’s one star rating.

The head judge from Top Chef is the 2002 James Beard Award winner for Best New Restaurant.

Personally, I can’t go to NYC without visiting his more casual sandwich shops, ‘wichcraft, which grace several locations in the city, including my favorite – Bryant Park.

Favorites at ‘wichcraft include the grilled fontina melt with black trumpet mushrooms and a white truffle fondue on pullman white bread and the Sicilian tuna with fennel, black olives and lemon on a baguette (pic below).
