Lighting to Unite!
Last night, tonight and tomorrow night, Swiss lighting artist Gerry Hofstetter brings his artistry to Washington National Cathedral for a spectacular exterior illumination of the south and west sides, in celebration of the Cathedral’s centennial. Numerous vivid images will be projected directly on the Cathedral sunset to midnight, illustrating its mission of reconciliation, spotlighting its role as a spiritual beacon for the nation, and proclaiming hope for all humankind.
I went to check it out last night and have to say, it was pretty amazing. The intensity of the colors being projected onto the cathedral was astonishing! Here are a couple of pictures I took. For more information, click here.
