Soda Manao in Saveur

The Saveur 100 List has come out for 2008 and one of my favorite things from our trip to Thailand is number 35 on the list! Soda Manao is a delightful carbonated lime drink that is lightly sweetened. In most restaurants in Thailand it is homemade - soda water, fresh lime juice and just a bit of cane sugar, but it is also available from Schweppes in convenience stores on every corner. It is incredibly refreshing as it is slightly tart and sparkling, but also thirst quenching as it has a hint of sweetness.
